About the Artist

Description

A project led by a man armed with (mainly)  ACID Pro and his imagination, wanting to shove the general population's immorality up its collective ass.

Faith. Fortitude. Forever.

ACIDplanet contest winner (Static-X)  and runner up (electronoel5). Hope to win more someday.

History

I started off playing classical guitar(!)  for over a decade, which I still play. I was always attracted to electronic music, so I eventually spilled over into the genre.

For trivia purposes, the artist/project name is an abbreviation of, "manus Dei," which is Latin. It means, "the hand of God." I thought people would end up mispronouncing it, hence why I chose to use, "mD," instead. It's not a DJ thing. Really.

Wanna know how to enunciate the full name?  "mah-NOOSE day-YEE."

I realize there are some who are put off by my presentation (with its Christian imagery). I also realize such a presentation is a detriment to my success, barring me from achievements I might otherwise have. Problem is, I don't really care. *shrug*

One is entitled to go f--k oneself if one doesn't like it.

Group Members

mD is not really a group, but rather a project headed by me. I may work with several others, or I may just work alone.

Style

Mostly Industrial. Definitely dark (but still hopeful)  for the most part.

Influences

A huge plethora of influences, too many to list here.

Collaboration

Electric and Classical guitar

Note that I'm a soloist on Classical guitar but mainly a rhythm player on electric, so don't expect crazy Eddie Van Halen-type solos on electric. I know that sounds weird, but then again the picking styles are different. (You fingerpick with Classical; usually use a pick with electric.)

I know a lot of music theory; can sight read traditional notation

Would like to collaborate on anything that anyone is interested in having my skills involved with.
