Description

Composer/Producer Robert D. Hanna has made his mark as owner of Prevalent Entertainment, Inc. with its subsidiary, MCM Productions and MacroCosmic Music Publishing, ASCAP. Robert has also been signed with the Universal Music Group for the last 12 years and has had song placements in the following feature films: STEALING HARVARD, SCARY MOVIE 2, BEDAZZLED, NEXT FRIDAY, DRIVE ME CRAZY, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, MONSTER and on the following TV shows: CSI, FRASIER, ER, WEST WING, BOOMTOWN, LAS VEGAS, LAW & ORDER, THE AGENCY, ED, MD's, NYPD BLUE, THE TONIGHT SHOW, PUSH NEVADA, STILL STANDING, YES DEAR, 20/20, SURVIVOR, THE DISTRICT, KING OF QUEENS, JACK AND JILL, THIRD WATCH, SECRET AGENT MAN, SABRINA, PROFILER, THE COSBY SHOW, ARLI$$, SEX IN THE CITY, OZ, PROMISED LAND and many more.

History


Robert started out as a jazz guitarist in a Bay Area jazz ensemble, winning awards as a soloist in the jazz festival circuit. After arriving in Los Angeles, and achieving his Bachelor's degree at UCLA, he pursued production work in the booming Hollywood recording industry. He worked on recordings for Jody Watley, Andre Cymone of Prince's band, Mary Jane Girls, Teena Marie, Jesse Johnson of "The Time", Billy Preston, The Dazz Band, Parliament-Funkadelic, and Billy Idol. Subsequently, as songwriter and lead singer of his own band "DAY DREAM", he performed live on Natalie Cole's National TV show, and had the honor to work with Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, After Seven, Patti Labelle, and Whitney Houston. Robert has produced several albums with his follow up band, "TOOLBOX" which charted top 10 in CMJ on the college music circuit.
