DescriptionLan Tarryk Kozar, formerly known as "Karma Inquisition", is a songwriter who is hereby promoting himself in the third person. Besides the excessively narcissistic creepiness of that, LTK is a rather humble yet diverse musical artist who's been producing electronica for 15 years and counting, and who's been laying on the down-low of the music industry for pretty much the entire time. His reasons for not openly trying to sell his music professionally range from the vague ("I don't know how") to the brutally obvious ("I'm a self-critic, and would this crap even sell??"). Nonetheless, LTK has become a commonly referenced name in a small community of fans to whom he owes the universe for all the support they've lent over the years. Thanks for hearing me!!!! :)
HistoryWhen I was 15, I started mixing cassette tapes together to create new beats, and I would try to sing over top of them. Obviously, this mostly concluded with irregular, sloppy tracks and the squawking sounds of a hormonal teenager trying to belt out REALLY horrible lyrics. I learned quickly that I'm no singer. By 20, I had long since given up trying to sing and spent my time mixing regularly on old DOS trackers like Impulse Tracker and Scream Tracker, using sample packs acquired off national dialup BBS's. You can hear those tracks on my old Karma Inquisition profile, like "EL At Night" and "Process Of Going Mad". The Karma Inquisition project lasted for 10 years, and gradually evolved to include lyrics once again as I took on the handle "Tarryk" to my peers. Songs produced in my mid to late twenties included "Good Girls Dance", "Induce, Incur", and "Glass Floor", often incorporating a second character called "Epicine" into the lyrics; these can also be found on the Karma Inquisition profile. Now I'm in my early thirties, and have been running under the artist title LTK for a couple years since the release of "Dream, Child", signifying a rather wide expansion to my styles and goals as a producer of electronica-based music.

StyleAs LTK the "artist" (sometimes I hate that word), I endeavor to utilize a very broad spectrum of genres, often mix-and-matching, most of which are built around a dance-club musical foundation. The inspiration for each song often differs greatly from those before it, but certain themes unique to LTK prevail throughout each album, evolving year to year. Sometimes it's love, sometimes it's existentialism, sometimes sex, sometimes honor, sometimes war & politics, sometimes drugs, or maybe just the need to belt out a few lines and make a track that's as equally dancable as it is rockable. It comes with mixed successes, of course. :)
InfluencesAnything and everything I've heard, from virtually all genres, is a potential influence on the styles herein. Narrowing it down would be impossible. Metal, rock, country, goth, trance, club, grindcore, pop, you name it and it's had a hand in shaping the way I create new tracks.
