Grand Prize Winner
Our favorite of the batch ended up being Callan Maart's and what we liked about this was that he (or she) really breathed some new life into the song - it's not really a club banger type of remix, but it's got alot of depth..it's just as much a fresh production of the song as it is a remix. It sounds like alot of thought was put into it and it develops in a really cool way.
Runners Up
We also want to shout out some that we thought were especially good:
All of these had something really cool going on, and it was quite a heated discussion picking the best.

About the Band
The Rondo Brothers are Jim Greer and Brandon Arnovick, a music production team based out of San Francisco. Since officially forming in 2003, the two have rapidly built up an impressive client list, released an innovative genre-bending record, and toured extensively in the U.S. as well as overseas. 2006 has allowed the Rondo Brothers to reach some of their widest audiences yet, thanks in part to laptop prodigy rapper MC Lars (Nettwerk) who tapped the Rondos to produce his underground hit "Hot Topic Is Not Punk Rock".Other 2006 noteworthy projects include the Rondos' contributions to a Killers remix by Dan The Automator (Gorillaz, Deltron 3030), and a New York Dolls remix for their 2006 release on Roadrunner records. They have also worked with producer Dan The Automator on a variety of records, namely Deltron 3030, Galactic's Ruckus, Handsome Boy Modeling School, and Head Automatica. The Rondos actually joined Head Automatica and collaborated closely with popular singer Daryl Palumbo on both his and their own projects. Always looking to expand into new genres the Rondos have also worked with such legendary producers as Bill Bottrell (Sheryl Crow, Michael Jackson), Jack Douglas (John Lennon,Aerosmith), and Prince Paul.
Also active scoring commercials and indie films, the Rondos scored four spots for McDonalds, an NHL commercial, and spots for Chevy, Dodge, and several other commercial clients. While rocking the punk and hip-hop worlds, the Rondos' love of all genres has also allowed them to reach other audiences thanks to their talent and versatility.
A lounge remix of Ella Fitzergald's "Beginning To See The Light" was included on several remix compilations, and the Rondos collaborated with legendary keyboardist Bernie Worrell (Talking Heads, Parliament) on a remix record for Bay Area jam band Vinyl. V2 records commissioned them for a Madness remix, and buzz band Scissors For Lefty (Rough Trade UK) signed the Rondos up for two remixes for their 2007 release. Other artists seen working at the Rondo studio in 2006 have included seminal guitarist Luther Dickinson from the North Mississippi All Stars and keyboardist extraordinaire Ivan Neville (Neville Brothers, Rolling Stones).
Having achieved commercial and critical success with their debut album 'No Time Left On Earth' in 2005, the Rondos have dropped their follow up album, entitled 'Seven Minutes To Midnight.' It’s a tantalizing blend of trip-hop, hip-hop, and catchy songwriting that creates an altogether fresh sound.
