About the Sponsor
Latin Music remains hot, and projections show it will continue to grow in popularity in coming years. Latin Music's growth has created new opportunities for musicians of every genre of music to sell their works into the fastest growing sector of the music industry today. Spanish language TV is growing exponentially. English language programming designed to reflect Hispanic lifestyles and appeal to the Hispanic/American population need music with a Latin flair. From full scores to video games to commercials, Spanish "flavored" music is in high demand. This contest gives you a challenge to create music "Latino Style" and may get you a gig through the sponsor - Latin Music Artists (LMA).LATIN MUSIC ARTISTS is based in Los Angeles and works as a liaison between Latin musicians, any musician producing music with a Latin feel/sound, and the music industry in the United States, Europe, Mexico, Central and South America. Each month various record companies, publishers, managers, and film & TV supervisors let LMA know what they are currently looking for by placing specific requests. The requests can be for a song, theme, partial music clip, band, an artist, or a composer in any Latin genre such as: Rock en Espanol, Pop, Traditional, Electronica, Dance, etc. LMA notifies its members of all requests each week and gets member songs matching the requests to the record company, publisher, manager, or film & TV supervisor who requested it. Members of LMA negotiate directly with the buyers for compensation and terms of use for selected music.
