About the Contest

Take a couple of regular guys, give them a studio and their own record label, and what do you get? A success story that could have been any of us, but it's not: it's Filo and Peri. The dance production duo have provided us with their "Closer Now" for remixing. Drop a little remix magic on the track and give the boys a boost. You know what they say, "review=review." Karma, baby.

Filo and Peri have stripped all the bells and whistles out of this progressive tune, but left you with all the vocals. You choose the genre — breakbeat, house, drum 'n' bass — and accentuate your remix with three of their drum patterns, a few lush pads and a handful of synths stabs.

About the Artist

The names Bo Pericic and Domenick Filopei mean one thing — synchronicity.

Since they met, Bo and Domenick have had great musical chemistry. Bo and Domenick met through a mutual friend from the website Trance.Nu. After just one week in the studio together, the two had created their debut release entitled "Elevation". The production was good and they decided to work on more projects as a team, something that neither committed to lightly. After giving "Elevation" to Armin Van Buuren at the Roxy nightclub, they soon received a deal with Armada records.

The Filopei/Pericic collaboration, now known simply as "Filo & Peri," had arrived. Since then, Filo & Peri have been going full force on their way to the top, gaining respect from many of the worlds' top DJs along the way. With eleven 12" singles, three remixes produced at their 5Knuckle Studio and a #153 entry on the DJ Mag list under their belts, the boys are ready for an even more exciting and successful 2005 starting with the introduction and launch of their new record label: Empire State Recordings. ESR will bring forward the new sound of Filo & Peri including collaborations and remixes with many renowned artists.
