About Bran Van 3000

The Bran Van 3000 collective was founded by video director James DiSalvio in 1995. A tech-driven group of about twenty artists, BV3 released Glee in 1997, which spawned the hit "Drinking in L.A." The single created worldwide buzz, and generated numerous remixes. BV3 had arrived in a big way.

The new disk, "Discosis," is scheduled to drop in Canada on May 29th, Europe May 28th, and the UK on June 18th ,and domestically 2 months thereafter. Coming off the international success of Glee, BV3 used their newfound clout to record with international stars like Youssou N'Dour, Big Daddy Kane, Eek-A-Mouse, Badar Ali Khan, and the late Curtis Mayfield. Ric Ocasek and Mark "Spike" Stent make guest producer appearances, as well. To work with such as roster of artists, the BV3 collective has been pared down to its core led by DJ/Producer/songwriter James DiSalvio and singers Jayne Hill and Sara Johnston. Gary Nick and Rob appear again on bass guitar and drums respectively. The album's release will be supported by all-star remixes from artists all over the globe.

The Grand Royal Lounge is giving you the opportunity to join in the release of the disk by remixing "Astounded, " the lead single from "Discosis." A driving, full-on production, "Astounded" features the legendary Curtis Mayfield. Where else you gonna get a chance to remix world-class productions and slice and dice the man behind "SuperFly?"
