There was even time for the Best Guitarist on the Web contest. Guitarists! Playing whole songs!In today's accelerated culture, we'll have none of that. You're a guitarist? Cut to the chase. Gimme your solo, and give it to me now. Not a long one, either. Thirty seconds max. Plug in, turn it up, and hit me with your best shot. Fire away.
In keeping with the times, we're launching the Best 30-Second Guitar Solo contest here at ACIDplanet.com. Simply record a guitar solo — accompanied or not — in one of the following genres. Then click the genre name to upload your entry. Submit as many entries as you like.

Our rockin' panel of expert judges will review and select Weekly Winners in each genre. These winners will go on to the next round of judging, where one Best 30-Second Guitar Soloist will be selected as the Genre Winner in each genre. And from there, the Grand Prize Winner will be chosen — the one solo to rule them all, the ubersolo, the absolute best 30-second solo!
