About the Contest

ACIDplanet and Universal Records are offering Becky's cover of Belinda Carlisle's hit "Heaven is a Place on Earth" for remixing. Becky's version updates the song's catchy refrains with an up-to-date driving dance beat.

The new album Becstasy is appropriately named, because the "songs lyrics explore the ecstasy of life as well as those incredibly powerful emotions—both good and bad—that long to pop your soul out of your body," says Becky.

Get popping yourself. Remix Becky's "Heaven is a Place on Earth" today.

About the Artist

"I really cannot remember a time that I wasn't singing or banging on the piano," laughs dance diva Becky Baeling. "I even vaguely remember singing in the car seat before I could talk --- 'Ah. Ah. Ah. Ah...' to the Bee Gees hit 'Stayin' Alive'."

Becky Baeling's debut album, Becstasy on Universal Records combines throbbing grooves and delectable pop melodies with refreshingly insightful lyrics for one incredible dance pop experience. Becstasy features the production skills of hitmakers Anders Bagge (Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, 98 Degrees) and Tony Moran (Gloria Estefan) among others. Becky's formidable full-length debut album promises to be the soundtrack for many a sultry summer nights.

Born in Rochester, Michigan (Madonna's hometown), and raised in Shelby Township, Becky has always danced to the beat of her own drum. She started dance lessons at age three, wrote her own musical at age five, and by age nine was making regular musical theatre appearances, including an eight-month run as the lead in "Annie." She also sang with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

Becky has already tasted success with her own brand of aural pleasure in her powerful chart-topping hit, "If You Love Me," which served as her contribution to the Global Hits 2003 album. The single impressively debuted at number 9 before climbing to the lofty number 3 position on the Billboard Dance Chart.

"I choose to dance and sing from my soul, and live out loud," replies Becky, when asked why she recorded the album, "and I hope to spread this experience and energy to everyone who listens!" With Becky's dramatic approach to her life and music she adds a refreshing new dimension to the Dance Pop world.
