Naked Cowboy Remix Contest
Notes from the Producer:
Hi Folks:
This is Lee Evans http://leeevansmusic.com/, CEO of 4 Sight Music Productions, owner of JAMBOX Recording NYC, and the co-writer/producer of the Naked Cowboy's CD. "YEAR OF THE COWBOY" where this song "Naked Cowboy Anthem" was taken. We also remixed this song and used the remixed version on the cd. Same structure, just better sounding everything. Naked Cowboy Contest is over and Naked Cowboy himself came into JAMBOX Studios NYC and picked the winner from about 10 runners up. The session was archived and can be viewed here. http://nakedcowboy.tv/
There were some interesting mixes here. The overall complaint was that the vocals were not always in sync with the track, when this happens, it throws off the credibility of the remix(er). More of his vocals could've been used to create new hooks. But the hooks need to be catchy and memorable. Its fine to try new tricks with plugins etc, but always think from the average listeners perspective. What is it about your remix thats going to lock em in? If vocals are not in sync, it pulls the listeners focus to a negative, and detracts from any cool good stuff that you've done.
4Sight Productions thanks Sony ACIDPlanet.com® and Voxana.
An EXTRA SPECIAL thank you goes out to Todd Rubenstein and TMR Records for the support, and for putting this whole thing together for us.

About the Contest
He’s ubiquitous, and now he’s at ACIDplanet, too: the Naked Cowboy has arrived.
Get out your boots, hat, and tighty-whities, ‘cause it’s remixing time, pardners. The Cowboy has served up a helpin’ of “The Naked Cowboy Anthem” for your remixin’ consideration.
Giddyup.
About the Artist
Arguably the most photographed person in the world and possible the most “exposed” (in more ways than one) country music artist to ever release a record, the Naked Cowboy’s presence as an established symbol of American freedom and his “let it all hang out” attitude has made him a one man walking tourist attraction in the middle of the Number One market in the world, New York City. With a one-of-a-kind country soul voice reminiscent of a unique combination of the legendary Willie Nelson and reclusive rocker Axl Rose, “What The Naked Cowboy Wants To Hear” is packed with fun honky-tonk hits as well as story-telling classics that give you a glimpse of what it is like to walk a mile in his boots…and only his boots. Produced by platinum-awarded, Billboard critically-acclaimed and five-time Grammy nominated Todd Rubenstein, “What The Naked Cowboy Wants To Hear” is a revealing musical pastiche of down home big city sounds.
And keep your eyes peeled for Fox News special report “Ten Years of the Naked Cowboy,” airing repeatedly on all Fox affiliates internationally starting October 15, 2007.
“What The Naked Cowboy Wants To Hear” is now available worldwide on TMR Records & "Year of The Cowboy" hits your favorite music vendor November 6, 2007 on 4 Sight Records.
The Naked Cowboy's Rock EP; "Year of The Cowboy" produced by Gaetano "G-MAN" Latanzi & Lee Evans of 4 Sight Music Productions in association with Jambox Entertainment is sure to be a Rock & Dance Club sensation when it is released on 4 Sight Records!
