About the Artist

Description

Home-Grown Desert-Baked Americana, New Grass, Roots, Dry Corn...

Style

A rough, twangy, percussive style folk guitar with bluesy, soulful, and occasionally annoying harmonica riffs. Served best with juice, tea or coffee, toast and jam, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and lots of grease and salt...

Influences

Neil Young, Randy Travis, U2, The Cranberries, Bob Dylan, The Allman Brothers Band, Pink Floyd, Steve Earle, Eagles, John Denver, Hank Williams Jr., Crosby Stills & Nash, Arlen Roth, Jerry Douglas, The Beatles, and The Meaty Cheesy Boys, Gordon Lightfoot, Dan Hill, Don McClean, Dan Folgelberg, Cat Stevens, Peter Paul & Mary, Fairport Convention, Green Day and numerous independent artists you'll never ever hear.

Equipment / Software

Guitars (acoustic, electric, squareneck dobro, and brass body tricone resonator), harmonicas, various percussion instruments (and toys), mandolin, octave mandolin, bouzouki. Roland VS2480, Roland Drum Machine DR-770(?), Boss RC-20 Loop Station, and a ME-33 Effects Processor.

Collaboration

I'm currently focused on Irish Traditional tunes (can output MIDI or ABC format). I'm a bit weak on performance arts (I'm totally out of practice on guitar and hardly sing a note anymore), but have a nack for creating a memorable hook here and there. "The Huckleberry Stomp" has been selected to be on the soundtrack of the film "Birth of a Legend: The Story of the WAWA" by Whippoorwill Hollow Films.
