KINETIC is one of the most promising Death Metal acts from Greece, combinating fast and agressive parts with keyboards and melodic female vocals.

 

 

·KINETIC started in 2002 by members coming from other historical bands from the Greek Underground Scene, who had the experience and the spirit to continue from the point those bands had stopped. Having this band-name as music-philosophy they started creating music. Member’s personal influences coming from THRASH, POWER, PROGRESSIVE and DEATH METAL gave an aggressive timbre to any song, something between Swedish and American technique. With lyrics touching the horrible side of life, their songs attained the power and the feeling they had to. Quickly, the band completed a respectable number of songs. Three of them constituted their 1st recording, a self-released mini CD entitled with the band name........................... ......................... KINETIC started getting in touch with `zines and radio-stations all over the world using this music sample. The reviews that where received as feedback from them, where something more than just positive and encouraging. This gave an enormous help to the band and in early 2004 a small independent label from Greece, Sleaszy Rider recs, gave them a small deal........................... ........... The band started record its 1st full length in February of 2004 and finished in August having more than 500 hours in studio. The result of this HUGE elaboration was "The Chains That Bind Us" full-length CD, released in early 2005. Including 11 compositions and a video-clip for "Never Ending Winter" song, re-recorded from their 1st music trying, this full album displays the band's progress....................... .............................. For one more time KINETIC started getting in touch with media all over the world sending promo-packs that were created by the band itself… The results were for one more time good, collecting many good comments from everywhere. Trying to give an even better help to "The Chains..." full length CD, the band made and paid by itself another video-clip for "Heed These Words" song and arranged a small tour in many cities of Greece......................... ........................... In September of 2005 totally disagreeing with the entire label policy, KINETIC broke their contract and started searching for another label. After many conversations and contacts the band finally got in deal with the ascended BURNING STAR RECS (www.burning-star.net)  with a schedule for a new release in September-October of 2007. The same time the four band-members decided that its time to drive KINETIC in a new era. Keeping the same style, increasing it with more elements, they added two new members, Vaggelis Kakarougas on keyboards and Margaret Staikou on female vocals......................... ............................. The band entered the studio in September-2006 to record its new full-length CD titled “Corrosion”, with the new 6-member line up. The whole production was made from the band for one more time. KINETIC made to create an album that includes all their elements from their 1st full-length, putting them into the limits; more melody, more aggression, better and louder production and a more personal music direction. The summer of 2007 the band shoot its 3rd video clip, the first for this recording, for the track “Venturing High And Low”, a video-clip that is included in the CD as bonus material....................... .............................. .... In March of 2008 KINETIC had a small line-up change; Margaret Staikou was replaced by a new ascended performer, Maria-Melissa Routi. Including the new “Female Microphone” in the lineup, the band started the live appearances to promote “Corrosion” CD.......................... This season finds the band on arranging their shows for next season Being the same members since the beginning, and adding two new ones, on female vocals and keyboards, they have found the necessary formula on working on a music style similar to their previous material but in a darker and heavier way. Invent them walking their paths of Passion........................ ............................ KINETIC`s important points: 1)  A 6-member band, with the four former-members to have an average of 16 years of experience in Underground Scene. 2)  KINETIC-Soul, Emotion, Flesh was rated as “Demo of the month” in Greek Metal Hammer, November-2003. 3)  500 hours in studio for making the production of their debut full-length “The Chains That Bind Us”. 4)  “The Chains That Bind Us” was the first CD from a Greek Heavy Metal band that was advertised in Greek TV in January-2005. 5)  9 months of recordings for their “Corrosion” full-length CD with countless hours in studio... 6)  5 years of existence with 3 recordings produced by the band, self-promotion in more than 400 independent media all over the world, many solitary shows and a Greek tour, organized and financed by the band. 7)  Registered in ten independent Online Communities (MySpace, YouTube, Starzee, Musicwave, GarageBand, AcidPlanet, Isound, Audiostreet, NumberOneMusic and ReverbNation), getting positive and encouraging comments from everywhere. 8)Live performances together with names like SADUS, ATHEIST, TANKARD, ARCH ENEMY with most important band’s appearance at Athens RockWave festival-2007 under the names: HEAVEN AND HELL, DREAM THEATER, ICED EARTH and ANATHEMA.
