He has provided "I Hate My Job" for us to remix. It hit #1 on the ACIDplanet Charts, and was featured in the Official ACIDplanet Waveform Podcast # 27. Winner gets loop libraries chosen by PSM!
About the Artist
Essentially, PSM is a one man band. Aside from an occasional collaboration with various singers and music enthusiasts there is only one person that creates the sounds that you hear when you put on the PSM in your mp3 player. The real name of the artist behind the band is Vasiliy Taranov. He is based out of Washington DC and records all of his music in a small home studio.PSM music directions are all over the map. There are melancholic melodies, moody lyrics, bright beats and detuned guitars that together create a very distinct, almost dirty and gritty style that PSM is known for. The focus genre is mostly from a trip-hop or indie-pop styles with occasional mixes that reflect a very clear ‘pop’ direction. The biggest influence on their music was Portishead, which can be clearly identified in several tracks.
Currently PSM is working on their first CD that will be available sometime this summer and will include the tracks from the period of the past 3 years.

No Links? If you do not see the "zip" links to the contest loops, it may be because you are running firewall or security software with Ad Blocking turned on. If so, please temporarily turn it off and the links should appear.
What is the .acd file in the sample remix? The .acd file is an ACID project file that contains a sample remix made from eight to ten of the contest loops. It can help you learn how to use ACID, or give you ideas about remixing the track. You don't need to use it, but you'll at least want to download the sample remix so that you get the loops.
Can't open the ACID project file? The ACID project file (.acd file) is in ACID 5.0 format. It can be opened in ACID 5.0, but not in previous versions of ACID. If you using a previous version of ACID and you wish to view this file, you can either upgrade or download the current version ACID XPress in the Tools area of this page. However, you do not need to view the .acd file to enter the contest. You can simply use the loops in any version of ACID or in any other software.
